Tuyên bố của Luật sư Vũ Đức Khanh – Văn phòng Luật VDK Law Office về việc công an cửa khẩu tại phi trường Tân Sơn Nhất đã ngăn chặn, cấm xuất cảnh và câu lưu nhà báo Anna Huyền Trang của Truyền thông Chúa Cứu Thế Việt Nam hôm 13 tháng 4 năm 2014.

Văn phòng chúng tôi quan ngại sâu sắc việc công an cửa khẩu Việt Nam tạm giữ cô Anna Huyền Trang tại phi trường Tân Sơn Nhất vào lúc khoảng 21 giờ, ngày 13 tháng 4 năm 2014.

Cô Anna Huyền Trang, một nhà báo của Truyền thông Chúa Cứu Thế Việt Nam, đã bị cơ quan công an Việt Nam ngăn cản, tịch thu hộ chiếu, không cho phép lên máy bay xuất cảnh.

Điều này đi ngược lại quyền tự do đi lại của công dân được quy định trong Hiến pháp Việt Nam năm 2013 (Điều 23), không phù hợp với quyền tự do đi lại và nghĩa vụ của Việt Nam theo Công ước Quốc tế về Quyền Dân sự và Chính trị (Điều 12), cũng như cam kết của Việt Nam về Tuyên ngôn Quốc tế Nhân quyền của Liên Hiệp Quốc (Điều 13).

Cách hành xử của nhà chức trách Việt Nam nhằm cản trở và trừng phạt những người bất đồng chính kiến chỉ trích chính phủ bằng cách bày tỏ quan điểm chính trị của họ một cách ôn hòa là đáng lo ngại.

Chúng tôi kêu gọi Chính phủ Việt Nam phải chấm dứt các hành xử nói trên ngay lập tức và vô điều kiện, đồng thời tạo cơ hội cho mọi người Việt Nam được bày tỏ một cách ôn hòa những chính kiến của họ cả trong và ngoài nước Việt Nam.

Security personnel at Tan Son Nhat Airport detained journalist Anna Huyền Trang from Vietnamese Redemptorist’s News on April 13, 2014

We are deeply concerned by the detention of Ms. Anna Huyền Trang at Tan Son Nhat Airport on April 13, 2014. Ms. Anna Huyền Trang, a journalist from Vietnamese Redemptorist’s News, was prevented from boarding her flight by Vietnamese authorities.

This goes against a citizen’s right to freedom of movement under Vietnam’s Constitution of 2013 (Art. 23), and is inconsistent with the right to liberty of movement and Vietnam’s obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (Art. 12), as well as its commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Art. 13). The Vietnamese authorities’ practice of impeding and punishing critics of the government for peacefully expressing their political views is disturbing.

We call on the Government of Vietnam to cease these practices immediately and without condition, and to allow all Vietnamese to peacefully express their political views inside and outside of Vietnam.
